Syed Jaffer Mohiyuddin founded Jaffer & Associates in Bengaluru in 2018 with a simple idea: clients should be able to take a matter from the trial court to the Supreme Court without ever having to change lawyers.
His practice is built on criminal law and bail, where he regularly moves anticipatory, regular and interim bail and defends clients through full trial, and on civil litigation, from suits for partition, possession and injunction to execution of decrees. He handles family disputes, including divorce, custody and maintenance, with discretion, and represents homebuyers and consumers in consumer cases before District, State and National Commissions.
On the commercial side, he appears in NCLT insolvency and company law proceedings and in DRT and SARFAESI matters for borrowers and lenders. He takes matters on appeal himself, arguing writs, appeals and bail petitions before the High Court and special leave petitions before the Supreme Court of India.
A commerce graduate before he turned to law, he also leads the firm's work in tax disputes, company and corporate litigation, contract disputes, recovery of money, land tribunal cases, cyber crime, and legal verification of property documents.
With a team of more than eight advocates, he and the firm practise in all the trial courts and the High Courts of Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi, and before the Supreme Court of India. Under his leadership the firm has handled more than 700 cases and grown into one of the most trusted names in South India.
